Telecommunication Engineering Services

Engineering in Telecommunications is an engineering discipline focusing on electrical and computer engineering to support and enhance telecommunications systems. The work ranges from the design of basic circuits to the development of strategic mass production systems. Designing and overseeing telecommunications equipment and facilities, including complex electronic switching systems, plain old telephone service facilities, optical fiber cabling, IP networks, and microwave transmission systems, is the responsibility of a telecommunication engineer. The field of telecommunications engineering overlaps with that of broadcast engineering as well.

Electronic, civil, and systems engineering are all part of the telecommunications field. Telecom engineers ultimately provide high-speed data transmission services. The telecom network infrastructure uses various equipment and transport media; the most common are twisted pairs, coaxial cables, and optical fibers. Wireless telephony services, radio and satellite communications, internet, Wi-Fi, and broadband technologies are also provided by telecommunications engineers.
